Delivery models for the EPQ and Arts Award Gold as a creative alternative

This was a network meeting to explore how the Gold Arts Award can be used as a creative alternative to the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) in education settings, and how delivery models can be aligned.

  • Mercedes Gallego, from City of London Academy, spoke about their delivery model for the EPQ.
  • Lesley Samms from Eastbourne College talked about their model of delivery, and the benefits, of the Gold Arts Award.

This was followed by group discussions about the benefits of the two qualifications, effective delivery models, and the possibility of running them side by side, with the Gold Arts Award as a viable alternative to the EPQ.
