Developing the arts in schools

The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and the Arts Council of England have published the handbook ‘From policy to partnership: developing the arts in schools’ (2000).

The publication is designed to help schools to develop and deliver an arts policy, and to establish partnerships to meet their own needs.

The handbook includes information on how arts partnerships can help schools provide a wide range of arts experiences, suggests ways of selecting appropriate arts partners and looks at some of the practicalities of implementation.
