Marketing to young people
When marketing your events or services locally there are several different media that will help you reach children and young people.
Lewisham Council provides a number of possible outlets that are specifically aimed at young people.Lewisham Council’s Family Information Service provides information on activities and services for children and young people in the borough. The directory lists advice, activities and education for children, young people, parents and carers and gives details of practitioners offering services, events and activities.
Every year the council also publishes a handbook and website detailing hundreds of events and activities taking place during the summer in Lewisham and neighbouring boroughs. The Summer’s Alive 2012 booklet will be available through schools, libraries, leisure centres and other public buildings and can be viewed on line. The deadline to get your activity in this year's brochure is 25 April. To find out how follow this link.
LEWISHAM EDUCATION ARTS NETWORK
LEAN now sends out a monthly bulletin promoting arts opportunities for young people. The bulletin is sent to key members of the Youth Service for distribution and to some teachers on or around the 23rd of each month. To get an entry in the issue email a simple description of your opportunity that includes a link to more information to Elizabeth Murton.
