Lewisham Council’s Arts Service gives advice about non-council funding streams and runs several grant schemes, available to not for profit arts organisations, to increase the number of people engaging in the arts, broaden the range of people engaging in the arts and raise awareness and profile of the arts in the borough.

Lewisham Council commissioned a report in 2015 to develop a vision for education in Lewisham. One of the recommendations was the creation a partnership to establish a school-led system of school improvement, Lewisham Learning.
