How to collect the information you need to demonstrate the difference you make. This course will give you the knowledge and practical understanding to collect the best possible outcome and impact data for your organisation.

You will learn more about how to use a range of methods and tools, including questionnaires, interviews, focus groups, participatory and creative methods and different ‘off the shelf’ tools.

By the end of the course you will: 

  • have a better understanding about who you need to collect information from and when
  • have more confidence to choose the right methods and tools from those available
  • know more about good practice for commonly used data collection methods
  • be more confident about how you can best measure your results.

Should I attend?

This course is for people new or relatively new to data collection methods. Participants will be expected to have an understanding of outcome and impact measurement. If you don’t, we recommend you first attend the CES Outcome and Impact Measurement course.
