Arts Council England are holding a one-day conference in January to help artists, arts organisations, museums and libraries increase diversity in their workforce, leadership, audiences and artistic work. The event is sold out, but you can still join us and watch the live stream.

Creative Ambition welcomes creative/cultural organisations, and educators to discuss how we can create an environment for young people to engage in meaningful and progressive, training and employment within the creative and cultural sector.

As part of Lewisham Live 2018, The Albany is running two brilliant projects for teenagers and young people in the borough.

Albany Young Creatives returns for the new year for young people aged 16 - 25, and new for 2018, Chill Pill is an urban music and spoken word project exclusively for teenagers. 

Both projects will run throughout February and March, and will culminate in performances to the public at The Albany, Deptford on the 24th March (Young Creatives) and 29th March (Chill Pill).

Opportunities

Tender is an arts and education charity committed to preventing domestic abuse and sexual violence experienced by young people, by promoting healthy relationships.

Tender Education & Arts is commissioning an external evaluation of their pilot to consult young people, teaching staff, parents, wider community partners and stakeholders in the development of a Whole School Approach framework to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls and Serious Youth Violence in the London borough of Croydon.

Speech Bubbles is an in-school KS1 intervention using drama to support children's communication skills, confidence and wellbeing. London Bubble are currently recruiting 10 South London schools to take part in an Education Endowment Foundation/Royal Society of Arts research trial of Speech Bubbles in 2018/19.
