We currently operate in Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham and are funded by Guys and St Thomas Charity as part of the Knee High Challenge, managed by Design Council. This is a chance to be a part of something new, innovative and proactive in improving family life.

More about Creative Homes

The home is one of the primary influences on a child’s development in their early years and for many families the home environment can be overcrowded and stressful. Prolonged stress not only effects day to day wellbeing but can have a lasting impact on a child’s emotional and physical development. Our simple playful solutions are designed to give families a helping hand towards building lasting, positive routines, whether it’s the Creative Chef helping families with fussy eating or the Clutter Inspector helping families with limited space to manage their day together in a positive way.

Hub Manager

As Hub Manager you will lead the delivery of a 12-18 week programme providing ground breaking solutions that improve daily life for families directly in their homes and through group sessions. You will have overall responsibility for leading the set-up, delivery, review and evaluation of the hub to home service. This will involve working with key partners and stakeholders including funders and commissioners, local community groups and leader. You will lead a team of artists in the delivery of the hub to home activities, oversee the administration requirements and co-ordinate the take home packs for families. Responsibilities will also include the collection and monitoring of data for evaluation against pre agree outcomes.

Lead Artist

The Lead Artist plays a key role in the delivery of our 12-18 week hub to home programme. Your role will include leading the development and delivery of artistic and playful solutions in the family home and in group sessions (for more info click here), helping to track the progress of families through fulfilling administration and monitoring tasks for documentation, communicating and developing vital relationships with families.

You will attend and participate in planning and design sessions, team meetings and artist sharings and day trainings that take place during a Creative Homes project.

Assistant Artist

The Assistant Artist role is a great opportunity to assist and train in the delivery of a Creative Homes project and gain a wide range of experience relating to a robust and artistic early years intervention.

You will assist with the development and delivery of artistic and playful solutions in the family home and in group sessions, helping to track the progress of families through fulfilling administration and monitoring tasks for documentation, communicating and developing vital relationships with families.

As Assistant Artist you will gain experience and training that will help you to work towards either a Hub Manager or Lead Artist role in the future.

This is a freelance role and Creative Homes is offering £7.50 an hour (£60 per day) for up to 10 days per 12-18 week project.

More information and how to apply.

Deadline for applications 17:00 on Friday 17 July.
