London, established in 1998 and run by Founder and Artistic Director, Judy
Gordon. The company runs 33 weekly classes in performing arts plus holiday
courses for young people and the elderly from the local community.  With a respected track record for offering
excellent and vital opportunities, MTA continues to help people from a highly
deprived areas acquire techniques and skills, develop confidence and social
ability, whilst also breaking down barriers between cultural groups and the
generations.

We are currently looking for experienced freelance teachers who can
teach classes throughout the week and to also join our pool of cover teachers. Classes
cover:

Dance: teaching a range of styles including ballet,
tap, modern and street. Knowledge and proven experience of teaching exam
syllabuses (including ISTD & RAD) welcomed.

Drama: development
of vocal and movement technique, working with text and improvisation. Knowledge
and proven experience of teaching the LAMDA exam syllabuses welcomed.

Singing: development
of singing technique and a musical understanding with rhythm, harmony and
pitch, with particular emphasis on musical theatre.

Classes run after school/evenings on weekdays and Saturday mornings and
cover groups ranging in age from 3-16 years. The positions would suit teachers
with experience of working with a range of abilities and backgrounds.

Please note that we expect applicants to have a commitment to the role
and company in all our main teaching positions, rather than those seeking a
short term stop-gap between performance contracts.

To receive full job descriptions, please email
gm@montagetheatre.com specifying which discipline
you are interested in and whether you are interested in longer term or cover
positions.
