Following on from our event in spring, A Children's Parliament for London?, we're inviting charities, councils and children themselves to join us for a follow-up event, exploring how we can connect, strengthen and amplify activities that give children a more influential voice in London.

This free event will discuss and make plans for:

-How we can create a network that shares, celebrates and improves practice in children's participation in London

-How we can support children to hold London's decision-makers to account on the issues they feel are important

March's event showed that there are lots of initiatives involving children in decisions that affect them - but that they're isolated, meaning that it's difficult for staff to connect with and learn from others, and that children's experience of participation is likely to be restricted to particular issues or settings, rather than feeling that they have a respected voice in all London debates. Participation work also tends to focus on engaging older young people.

We're particularly keen to hear from statutory bodies that have good practice to share, or upcoming opportunities to enhance the voice of children in their work, and participants are welcome to bring children they work with who are keen to have their say on the above questions - just tick the relevant box when booking or get in touch to discuss.

Lunch will be provided!
