Creative collaboration through workshop leading in the Early Years - Sound Connections

You will develop skills, knowledge and understanding in how to plan and structure a creative environment, deliver a session, what ‘engagement’ might look like, and how to ensure inclusive practice.

Rosie Bergonzi

Rosie Bergonzi is passionate about creating music in a community setting. After taking part in the Spitalfields Music Trainee Music Leader Scheme, she now leads and facilitates workshops including collaborative song-writing and instrumental pieces; and presenting sharings. She’s recently worked with English National Opera, Britten Sinfonia, The Wigmore Hall, Aurora Orchestra and the Chineke! Foundation to deliver music sessions to groups across the UK. She is a Live Music Now musician with Boubakiki, taking classical music into unusual settings.

As a performer, Rosie is a graduate of The Guildhall School of Music & Drama, having completed her masters in Advanced Instrumental Study in 2016 and being awarded a Fellowship in Percussion the following year. She has just returned from a world tour with singer Neneh Cherry and recently completed a run of Richard II at Shakespeare’s Globe. Rosie is a founding member of the all female percussion group Beaten Track Ensemble. She is part of Handpan and Saxophone duo Boubakiki who released their debut EP in January 2018. Rosie has recently begun making spoken word art for social justice, available to view on her YouTube Channel.

In her spare time Rosie likes to do Karate and is currently studying comedy improvisation with the theatre Hoopla.
