Lewisham Five to Thrive Training

This unique training opportunity aims to equip practitioners in all agencies working with young children and their families with an understanding of how brain development happens in babies and children, and how they, in their own workplace, can use this knowledge to inform parents and help them to form strong attachments with their children that will encourage healthy development.

We already know that parents are the most important influences in children’s lives, and we also know that how a parent behaves around their baby has a significant impact on how their baby’s brain develops and longer term on their child's development and life chances.

This unique training opportunity aims to equip practitioners in all agencies working with young children and their families with an understanding of how brain development happens in babies and children, and how they, in their own workplace, can use this knowledge to inform parents and help them to form strong attachments with their children that will encourage healthy development.

There is a whole borough commitment to Five to Thrive as an approach within Lewisham, and if you work with children and families in Lewisham, you are eligible to attend this free training day.
