A New Normal: Where do we go from here?, LEAN Conference
Date:
Thu, 04/02/2021 - 17:30 - 19:30
How can we stay informed, engaged, and energised so that our work continues when ‘hot button’ topics become yesterday’s news?
LEAN believes it is our duty as a community to openly discuss: where do we go from here?
Date: Thursday 4th February 2020 5.30pm
Cost: Free

As the dust settles on 2020 with the hopeful rollout of a vaccine, how do we keep the momentum of 2020 and ensure concerns highlighted this year will continue to be recognised? Black Lives Matter, digital poverty, mental health, and wellbeing are all in danger of fading into the background as the world rushes to return to the ‘normal’ of before.
How can we stay informed, engaged, and energised so that our work continues when ‘hot button’ topics become yesterday’s news?
We want to look ahead, using the framework of Lewisham’s Borough of Culture 2022, to consider what will be needed to achieve the ‘New Normal’ we are hoping for. LEAN will provide a space to discuss how to create long-term initiatives in response to these concerns that have affected children and young people.
Join us for:
- Engaging and inspiring speakers from the Arts and Education sectors
- Group discussions with peers from across the Arts and Education sectors
- Networking opportunities to foster new connections
- An AGM where you can hear about LEAN’s past activities
LEAN believes it is our duty as a community to openly discuss: where do we go from here?
