Artist Residencies at GLYPT

GLYPT (Greenwich & Lewisham Young People’s Theatre) are offering 3x artist residencies at The Tramshed in Woolwich between Jan and March 2018 for companies and artists aged 18-29.

These residencies are aimed at young / emerging companies and artists (aged 18 to 29), who feel they would benefit from space and support for a specific piece of performance work. GLYPT would like to hear from artists who are making work that is exciting, innovative and unique. Work can be devised, scripted, dance, physical theatre, site-specific, interdisciplinary, outdoor, aimed at young audiences – they’re open to all ideas!

Residencies include a week of free space, either in GLYPT’s studio or theatre, as well as mentoring and advice on creative process and development. They also include an opportunity, where appropriate, to show a work-in-progress in front of a public audience at one of our events.

As part of their ongoing development support for artists, there may be future opportunities to further develop work created as part of this residency, which may include financial support and programming opportunities.

These residencies are part of GLYPT’s Progression project. Funded by Arts Council England, Progression is a programme of training, projects and performance opportunities for creative young people, alongside developmental support for young and emerging artists.
