Crafts Council Job – Talent Development Co-ordinator

2.5 days per week, £10125 - £11500 (FTE £20,250 -£23,000), This role is a full time job share between two people.  Both work 2.5 days. Deadline for applications 22 April 2019.

The Crafts Council promotes British craft nationally and
internationally.  Their activities
are broad and include:

  • Nurturing the talent of makers.
  • Working to get craft back on the school curriculum.
  • Creating inspiring exhibitions
  • Showcasing craft and makers.

They are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and energetic Talent Development Coordinator.

Job Outline

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Crafts Council’s
Learning and Talent Development Team and help support their
Talent Development programmes.  These programmes support new and
established craft makers to develop their practices and businesses. 

A successful candidate will be confident at enabling diverse
audiences to engage with our Talent Development programmes.  They are
looking for candidates who can be a warm and welcoming first point of
contact. 

The Crafts Council is committed to promoting and celebrating
diversity and are keen to receive applications from under-represented
groups in contemporary craft.  This includes disabled applicants, and
those from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.

Main Objectives

Co-ordinate and provide administrative support for the Talent Development programmes.  These include:

  • Hothouse – our flagship programme for new makers
  • Professional development workshops
  • Our biennial conference.
