Horniman Museum outreach and virtual learning for schools
The Horniman Museum and Gardens is a much beloved destination for schools across South London and beyond. Since the covid-19 pandemic we have been busy adapting our programme so that we can bring the museum to schools at a time when there are so many barriers to visiting and enrichment is so important.
For Primary schools we are offering engaging, curriculum-linked workshops via online virtual platforms or physical outreach to your school. The benefit of booking a virtual workshop is that up to three classes can log in simultaneously at no extra charge. If you choose to book an outreach visit, please be assured that we ensure covid-safe practices during the session, for example our staff wear gloves and a mask when teaching, and all objects are quarantined before and after each visit.
For more information please visit https://www.horniman.ac.uk/schools/outreach-and-virtual-sessions/
For Secondary schools we are offering a more tailored approach, for example a loan of handling objects, virtual Q&A or project work.
To book a session or to discuss your requirements please contact us at schools@horniman.ac.uk
We hope to see you soon!
