This new choir is run in partnership by Lewisham Music and Blackheath Halls and includes singers from Year 4 - Year 7.

The choir formed the
children’s chorus for the fully staged community opera, Der Frieschűtz at
Blackheath Halls in August alongside professional soloists and orchestra. LYC
also took part in the Multi-Story Orchestra BBC Prom at the Peckham Car Park on
26 August. This term, they will be performing at Blackheath Christmas Village
Day on 2 December, as well as at Lewisham Music’s Christmas Concert at St John
the Baptist Church, Bromley Rd on 16 December.
There are places available for new members to join and we are keen to hear from
teachers who have talented and motivated pupils who would like to join LYC and
be an ambassador for their school and the borough. There is no audition to join
and there is no charge this term for taking part.
