Applications for Phoenix Community Housing Community Chest fund are now open! Community Projects can apply for a share of £120,000.

Applications close Wednesday 2 March. You can view the application toolkit here.

The Community Chest was set up in 2013 to fund projects that will make a difference to the Phoenix community. Since then, they have awarded £900,000 to 100 projects benefitting more than 21,500 people. Previous projects have covered a wide range of activities, from family away days to African drumming classes.

Phoenix Community Housing believe that these projects help create a stronger community and support their residents to gain new skills and access experiences and opportunities that may otherwise not be available.

There are two types of grants available:

  • Small grant – up to a maximum of £2,500
  • Large grant – up to a maximum of £20,000

Small grants are awarded by the resident-led Evaluation Panel and the shortlisted large grants are voted for by Phoenix tenants.  Further information can be found in the Criteria document as well as details of 4 bookable advice sessions providing help or advice for your application.

The Community Chest has previously been awarded the 24housing Community Achievement award.
