Theatre Centre are currently recruiting for four Resident Artists, ideally based in Lewisham or South East London.
They are interested in hearing from artists, practitioners, and creative team members from any art form to bring their practice to Future Makers, including but not limited to: musicians, directors, writers, visual artists, poets, movement directors, designers, theatre-makers, stage managers, technicians.

Theatre Centre are welcoming Expressions of Interest from freelance artists to
become embedded as Resident Artists, helping them to shape the planning
and delivery of Future Makers, exploring the depth of connection
longer-term relationships can bring for young Future Makers, artists,
Theatre Centre and their partners.
Future Makers offers long-term, in-depth engagement for young people
to nurture their skills and creative thinking, build confidence, support
self-expression, building creative, transferable life skills. Theatre Centre are
currently planning face-to-face delivery but can return to the blended /
online delivering they have been using in recent months, should that be
necessary.
Theatre Centre are interested in hearing from artists, practitioners and creative
team members from any art form to bring their practice to Future
Makers, including but not limited to: musicians, directors, writers,
visual artists, poets, movement directors, designers, theatre makers,
stage managers, technicians. Ideally, our resident artists will be based
in Lewisham or South East London.
They are also particularly keen to hear from people from artists and
practitioners from communities that are underrepresented in the cultural
workforce.They have an Access budget to support BSL, closed captioning, etc. First interviews and our drop-in session will be undertaken remotely over zoom. Please note that they will support artists where digital access is a barrier.
Dates: Contracts will run from 9th August to 11th December 2021
Fees: The all-inclusive fee of £9,000 based on 36 days
(2 days per week at £250 per day x 18 weeks)
