Lewisham Legends Muralist Call Out

Deadline tomorrow Friday 4 March 2022.

Open Until:

Posted: 03/03/2022

Lewisham Legends murals: celebrating Lewisham trailblazers and heroes. Call out for a muralist.

Background

Throughout the year we will be asking residents to put
forward their suggestions for local trailblazers and legends that have put
Lewisham on the map. These could be anyone from a famous musician or sporting
star to a Lewisham activist, or a local community hero.

We are looking to commission five muralists to work on
murals across the borough based on those nominated and selected from the
Lewisham Legends call out. The location of the murals will be identified by
Lewisham Council and agreed with the muralist.

The design of the mural will be based on imagery agreed with
the nominee and the muralist. It should showcase the selected legend and
celebrate their achievements.

Proposal

Please provide the following:

  • You / your company’s name, address and contact details
(prioritisation will be given to Lewisham-based muralists)
  • Budget breakdown with costs including your time and materials
  • Examples of similar, previous work
  • Information on your previous creative participation work
with communities – you can include website links and photos, links to videos etc.

The budget for this mural is up to £2,499.
